a message from our Managing Director

Chris Jackson

A huge congratulations to our 2024 Star Awards winners. It was a pleasure to celebrate your achievements at our special awards evening. It was a fantastic event and I was thrilled to see so many colleagues come together to toast to this year’s successes.

We received more than 300 award nominations, and as one of the judges myself, I can tell you it was quite the task to narrow these down to our finalists. It has been a challenging few years, but throughout those difficult times you have all been working incredibly hard to ensure our customers receive the best possible service. Your passion and drive to do the right thing never fails to surprise me, and it’s the main reason we have been able to get our business back on track so quickly.

The winners of our 15 awards are outstanding examples of the exceptional contributions of individuals and teams across our network, as well as the vital roles played by our supply and contract partners. They are colleagues who consistently go above and beyond in everything they do, and who bring to life our values every single day. They consistently bring their true selves to work, raise the bar, pull together and never fail to go the extra mile to make someone's day.

Congratulations to our winners!

Chris

Team of the Year
Every single day in TPE there are teams going above and beyond the call of duty to make a difference for our colleagues and our customers. This award recognises those teams – whether big or small - who are either customer-facing or working behind the scenes, who not only demonstrate the TPE values, but over the last 12 months may have made a significant impact on our business, overcome obstacles, successfully utilised the skills of all members of the team and can demonstrate collaboration with other teams in TPE and across the industry. The winning team will be a shining example of working together effectively to deliver clear benefits.

Traincrew Depot of the Year
Our Traincrew Depot of the Year award acknowledges the great teamwork taking place amongst our train crew in a variety of roles across our network. These teams are working hard to deliver a good and efficient operation for our customers, whilst also demonstrating our core values.

They may consistently do outstanding work, live our values, and contribute to our company objectives, but don’t necessarily seek recognition for it.

About the

STAR AWARDS

Our Star Awards give us the ultimate way of recognising the outstanding achievement and contribution of our colleagues in the form of colleague led nominations and a fabulous evening celebration that will be held in March 2022.

The TPE team is full  of amazing people who go out of their way every day to offer great service for customers and colleagues alike. Anyone can nominate any member of TPE for a Star Award, they’re designed to give you the chance to nominate a fellow colleague, team or supply partner who goes the extra mile to make TPE the best we can be.

It’s only right we have an event like this to say an extra special thank you to those people who make TPE a great place to work and help us put our customers at the heart of everything that we do.

Following initial nominations, there is a two stage judging process to decide three finalists for each category – these finalists will be invited to our Star Awards celebration event where the winners will be announced.

If you have any queries about the awards please email TPEStarAwards@tpexpress.co.uk
